What is the rectification of a Residencia Temporal subcategory or permit holder status?
This is a procedure for foreigners who have been granted a Residencia Temporal permit, but who have NOT yet downloaded their Estampado Electrónico, since they wish to:
- Become holders of another subcategory, different from the one they were granted; or
- Change their status from dependent to holder or vice versa.
Where do I apply for this rectification?
To apply for the rectification of subcategory or Residencia Temporal permit status, you must send the following documents to Clasificador N°8, Correo Central, Santiago:
- Applicant’s identification documents.
- Letter explaining the reasons why you wish to change your immigration subcategory.
- Documents required for the subcategory of Residencia Temporal or the permit holder status of which you wish to be a beneficiary.
Important!
The documents submitted must comply with the respective legalizations and be in force at the time of submission.
