What are the Permanencia Transitoria subcategories?
The subcategories are understood as subtypes of Permanencia Transitoria permits, each with its own specific requirements and procedures managed by different entities, in accordance with the provisions of current Chilean legislation.
The classification of the subcategory that corresponds to the foreigner will be determined by the border control authority or Chilean consulate abroad, based on the information presented by the foreigner.
List of subcategories
For foreigners who want to enter Chile for recreational, sports, business, family, or other similar purposes.
For foreigners who work as crew members in land, sea, and air transportation of passengers or cargo.
For natural persons of any State with which Chile has signed an international agreement to reciprocally allow entry to their respective territories.
For national residents or permanent residents residing in a border zone, as defined by a bilateral agreement between that State and Chile.
For foreign persons who have completed an official mission recognized by Chile, and their dependents.
