Civil Society Council

In order for an organization to be part of the election process of the COSOC of SERMIG, it is first required to be registered in one of the categories of the Registro de Organizaciones Sociales of SERMIG.

Once the application to the Registro de Organizaciones Sociales has been accepted, the registered organizations will be able to nominate candidates for councilors in the subscribed category, as well as to participate in the election process of the future representatives of the COSOC of SERMIG.

Registration will also allow them to:

• Take part in different mechanisms of citizen participation developed by SERMIG, such as consultations and citizen dialogues, access to relevant information, etc.
• Receive training on migration-related issues developed by SERMIG or other state agencies and be recognized by SERMIG as an organization that develops actions related to the defense, promotion, and protection of the human rights of immigrants and refugees.
